Pavilhão temporário para a Bienal de São Paulo @ Fundação de Serralves​.

Um pavilhão para uma projeção vídeo no parque de Serralves, Porto, geometricamente alinhado com a Casa Cor-de-Rosa, uma casa burguesa do início do século XX. A relação visual não existe, mas pressente-se ao atravessar o jardim e percorrer a longa alameda ao fundo da qual se ergue esta torre de 7 metros.

 

A chapa metálica ondulada reutilizada aproxima-a de um arrumo agrícola, uma construção que poderia estar aqui há muitos anos; porém, a pintura a spray, feita no local, traz o pavilhão para o século XXI, remetendo para as paisagens suburbanas do filme que é projetado no seu interior. A pintura vermelho-rosa contrasta com o verde da vizinhança, e o volume é refletido no espelho de água já existente.

 

Por dentro encontra-se uma sala escura, bem acabada, como se fosse um museu; em contraste, o chão é em terra, o banco um tronco de eucalipto, e a água do espelho espreita subtilmente sob uma parede branca. Precisamente aquela em que se projeta diretamente o vídeo “Bombom’s Dream” de Cecilia Bengolea e Jeremy Deller, filmado na Jamaica e presente na 32ª Bienal de São Paulo.

Temporary Pavilion for the São Paulo Bienal @ Serralves Foundation​.

A pavilion for a video projection in the park of Serralves, Porto, geometrically aligned with the Pink House, a bourgeois house from the early twentieth century. The visual connection does not exist, but it is intuited when crossing the garden and the long avenue at the end of which stands this 7 metre high tower.

 

The reused corrugated metal sheet approximates it to an rural shed, a construction that could have been here for many years; however, the spray painting, made on the spot, brings the pavilion to the 21st century, referring to the suburban landscapes of the film that is projected inside. The red-pink paint contrasts with the surrounding green, and the volume is reflected in the existing water mirror.

 

Inside there is a dark room, well finished, as if it were a museum; In contrast, the ground is made of earth, the stool a eucalyptus trunk, and the water of the mirror glimpses subtly under a white wall. Precisely the one in which is projected directly the video "Bombom's Dream" by Cecilia Bengolea and Jeremy Deller, filmed in Jamaica, and present at the 32nd São Paulo Biennial.
